Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 30, 2026

Slatero is designed to let teachers and students share classroom whiteboard content directly between participating iPads on the same local network. This policy explains how information is handled by the Slatero app and website.

Information handled by the Slatero app

Teachers and students may enter a display name and create written or drawn classroom content. This information is exchanged directly between participating devices over the local network so that the classroom features can operate.

No Slatero cloud service

Slatero does not require user accounts and does not upload classroom names, student names, drawings, written responses, or teacher annotations to a Slatero-operated server. The app is intended to work on the classroom’s local network without an internet-based Slatero service.

Data collection

Slatero does not use advertising or third-party analytics and does not collect personal data from the app for tracking, advertising, profiling, or sale.

In-app purchases

Any optional in-app purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. Slatero does not receive or store the purchaser’s payment-card information. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s own policies.

Support requests

When a user submits the support form on this website, the information supplied—including the user’s name, email address, device details, subject, and message—is used to respond to that request. Support submissions may be retained as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain service records, and address recurring technical problems. They are not sold or used for advertising.

Website operation

This website may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver web pages and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser information, server logs, and security-related data. WordPress and the website’s hosting provider may process this information as part of normal website operation.

Children’s privacy

Slatero is a classroom tool, but it does not require children to create online accounts or provide information directly to a Slatero-operated cloud service. Teachers and schools are responsible for using the app in accordance with their applicable policies and legal obligations.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Slatero’s features or information practices change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when an update is published.
